 What does Girl Power really mean?

Since the first sin, women were in the bondage that the devil made. Women were considered second class citizens at best. Men made women do everything they wanted. Women had no power at all!

Is this Biblically supported? Some might say so- that women are here to do the will of Men. The reason is Genesis 3:16.

"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Sounds pretty bad for women here from that scripture, but lets take another look, because that is the bondage that the devil made, God didn't curse women like that, he just knew that's what men would do now that we knew between good and evil.

So what is God's take on the equality of women?

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Gensis 1:26-27

If men and women are both created in the image of God, then aren't both sexes equal. Shouldn't each sex treat each other like equals, respect each other.

But because of the first sin, Men have endevored to chain women to his desire, because of SIN!

Jesus Came down to free us from bondage and of SIN!

So Jesus came to bring Girl Power, Boy Power, Life Power, whatever you want to call it, Jesus came down to bring it to pass. God so loved you, that his son died so that you may have power over all the things that prevent you from getting the life you were meant for!

And what does this mean concerning Geri Halliwell, one might ask. Geri is pretty much the living embodiment of Girl Power, and to my knoweldge is the second biggest promoter of Girl Power ever. And in my books, that makes her the second greatest person to fight the bondage within the human species when it comes to how men treat women!
